For over 30 years, starting when I was old enough to begin to understand life, I have dealt with people suffering or trying to deal with various diseases and conditions, as I also suffered a long battle. I am not a doctor, I do not pretend to be one, what I am, is a caring person in real life. The mission of The Skin Cancer Foundation is to reduce the incidence of skin cancer through public and professional education, medical training, and research. The Foundation's educational materials – brochures, posters, and books – provide essential information on all forms of skin cancer, sun protection strategies, skin cancer prevention, and self-examination. In addition, SCF strives to improve skin cancer care by offering physician education and training programs, supporting research into new diagnostic techniques and therapies, and promoting public education programs abroad. The Foundation sponsors two international conferences on skin cancer, International Dermatology Exchange Program and the World Congress on Cancers of the Skin.
